Planning Retreat
During mid to late summer, we kick off our year with a planning retreat. We all come together to get to know each other, team- build, and plan our calendar of meeting activities, fundraisers, service projects, and weekend adventures.
Weekly Meetings
From cramming for competitions, stamping workshops, cake decorating, game nights, mystery cooking, service projects... we do it all! Our weekly, Tuesday night meetings is where it all happens.
Walawi Fun Weekends
Walawi Fun Weekends are mandatory, girl-led camps that allow Walawi girls to gain leadership experience, foster sisterhood and independence in action packed weekends that we host twice a year for 2nd-5th grade girl scouts.
Fall Product & Cookie Sales
We participate in the annual Fall Product and Cookie Sales. Girls gain entrepreneurship skills. Walawi members use these funds toward events and summer trips!
TAMBU
Tambu is a friendly backpacking/camping skills competition for senior and ambassador girl scouts. They compete in events such as knots/lashing, orienteering, compass, wilderness survival, first aid and more! Don't worry we will teach you everything you need to know.
GAM
Gam is a friendly mariner/water skills competition for senior and ambassador girl scouts. They compete in events such as swimming races, boating races, drill, charting, first aid and more!
Summer Trip
Planes, trains and automobiles we do it all... Most summers Walawi goes on a 9 day adventure. They fundraise throughout the year. We have travelled locally throughout California. We have also been to places such as Chicago, Seattle, Oregon, and even London! Walawi chooses the destination and plans their adventure!
